Did Pleroma start in the USA or Germany? It's referenced that Lain is German but were they living there when it was started?

wakest ⁂ (liaizon@social.wake.st)'s status on Monday, 01-Apr-2024 01:16:07 JST wakest ⁂ @kris the fact that Misskey is developed by a Japanese community or Mastodon by Germans is quite relevant information to me. I understand the privacy concerns I don't want to dox anyone's location and the fact that contributions happen internationally is super important.

Kris (kris@outmo.de)'s status on Monday, 01-Apr-2024 01:16:09 JST Kris @liaizon maybe with the exception of company developed software like Mastodon gGmbH, highlighting the nationality of just one of many open-source developers seems like a bad idea.
I think it might be interesting to have a column if the software is developed by a company, a non-profit, an informal community or a lone developer though. -

I was keeping a list of information about fediverse projects and the fact that the fediverse is vary diverse and has projects from around the world is an important factor that I want to highlight.
