Even if you have been actively working to undermine this network by promoting Bluesky or Nostr, the Fediverse has a place for you. There is so much work still to be done, and we'd all appreciate your help.

      - Get your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to get on the network.
      - Post here. Bring your online life here.
      - Ask your employer to set up an instance for the company.
      - Ask your university to set up an instance for students, faculty and staff.
      - Ask your city, regional and national government to get on the fediverse.
      - Be stellar here. Be kind. Watch your words. Set a good example. Make this the most positive social network experience.

In my opinion, other protocols choices are leveraging features where AP's is lacking or is unable to evolve.
The big trouble for AP, maybe is having a massive propagation of the slowest software, in terms of evolution.

@evan I don't understand this adversarial stance, activity pub has a privilege ATM of a small network effects but it is by no means the only or even optimal way to set up a social network.

If you are serious about federation why not federate with other protocols? Centralizing at the protocol later is just as much a mistake as centralizing at the server level.

      what you want, is fine.
I was just exposing my opinion to a person more experienced on AP.
As far I know it's just two years

@evan why do you think promoting Bluesky and Nost is undermining the fediverse? Each protocol has different strengths and weaknesses. I'm excited for multiple options especially when interoperability improves.
