     @bot @lamp @abner @arisudotexe it's not a discussion that's likely to go anywhere because it's an argument of definition. plenty of dictatorships have been productive (thus functional) by various metrics
     
     but anyway societies with freedom of expression seem to have been more prosperous in the long term historically. which makes sense given that it makes everything more efficient
