     @adiz for a while Mastodon project has had a policy against using "mastodon" in your server name if you are NOT running mastodon. In other news check out mastodon.shitposter.club our mastodon-fe frontend to pleroma.

     @Moon@shitposter.club They don't own the rights to the word Mastodon, though. I suppose I could see how the law would work if they were misappropriating Mastodon's logo and other associated branding, but the word "mastodon" or using the word "mastodon" to lazily generalize a Fediverse instance isn't protected as far as I understand. Either way, fuck Mastodon and fuck Mastodon users. @dia@poa.st
