   The UK has approved the updated list of countries/territories they'll recognize legal gender corrections from.

   They've purged pretty much anywhere that has self-id.

   It's still possible to apply for a Gender Recognition Certificate under the old list for "21 days", but I am not sure when that clock starts/started.

   Nobody has even been accused of abusing the process, the change to the list was spearheaded by Kemi Badenoch for the sole purpose of hurting transgender people.

     The order also, in what is clearly a reaction to my lawsuit, specifically claims that nonbinary people do not qualify for recognition.

     I'd heard she was planning it, but I was vaguely hoping something would delay it. Didn't realise they were going to specifically call out non-binary people though - gitbags.

     I think Assigned Media had an article about how most of the big pressure groups have one or two of their boards who are from a group of about a half dozen people. LGBA, Safer Schools, all that lot are effectively the samr people in different combinations

     I am a citizen of one of the affected countries, and applied for a GRC last year.
     Today I was notified that my application was granted.
     I wonder if I was just lucky, or maybe they're getting them out of the way before things change.

     @lynn Assuming I eventually win my case, it shouldn't affect me because it does not apply retroactively to those who have already applied - and I've not only applied but my application was granted.
