@meso i agree, you should've had some restrictions, or at least you should've had interests like playing video games all the time, that's what i did and i turned out just fine

@lina i did have a ton of restrictions in retrospect, just like. not while im on the internet. i had restrictions of having stuff taken away, but never set times or parental control or blocked sites. I just didn't go to bad parts cuz they were repulsive to me, i had healthy hobbies and constantly talked to whoever i met. i really wonder how i always managed to at least semi convincingly pass as a 16 year old online despite being preteen when i pretended to be one. i wonder how many people have done that to me and i havent been able to tell

@meso only proper parenting can solve this

@lina yeah honestly horrible people have gotten a lot more horrible on mainstream places, it's become acceptable and there's communities forming around that. it used to be that manipulative people would simply take over communities about genuine interests but now there's communities about rotten people. and pedophiles are a lot more brash now, a little softer on the outside but ultimately achieving the same evils. Discord, TikTok, Twitter and their consequences have been a fucking DISASTER for the later half of this generation

@voltrina @meso in other words at least one of the parents should spend half the day with the child and keep him occupied without teaching him that computers phones are the best thing in the world

@lina @meso phones have practically replaced babysitters and parents at this point
they should stop shoving useless content to kids from tiktok or whatever and actually entertain them or teach them useful life skills
