There is none. They all suck. Jump off Jewgle's bandwagon and either return to Gecko/Firefox-based browsers or some other alt. -

Bread up, Bro (sickburnbro@poa.st)'s status on Tuesday, 19-Mar-2024 22:42:43 JST Bread up, Bro @idea_enjoyer @SuperSnekFriend I don't think so. Basically google is using their constant updates of their browser to control the internet. -

?uper?nekFriend ? (supersnekfriend@poa.st)'s status on Tuesday, 19-Mar-2024 22:57:40 JST ?uper?nekFriend ? @sickburnbro @idea_enjoyer I'm well aware of that fact. There are no suitably acceptable browsers. The internet is crap. Yet, I want Idea Enjoyer to enjoy the most control over his phone and browser possible in the messy circumstance that is current year IT, hence moving from Chromium based browsers. Bread up, Bro likes this. -

So much for being "free" and open source! This hellclown world, I swear! :jahy_disgust: -

Berlusconi Fever :sonnenrad: (mechasilvio@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 20-Mar-2024 03:09:53 JST Berlusconi Fever :sonnenrad: @SuperSnekFriend @idea_enjoyer pure speculation from my part. It would be an issue unrelated to open source but sort of a non-compete clause.
Maybe he wanted to tell them to pound sand and purposely did not use Firefox (first was some Atom prototype, then Chromium) -

?uper?nekFriend ? (supersnekfriend@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 20-Mar-2024 03:09:55 JST ?uper?nekFriend ? @MechaSilvio @idea_enjoyer I'm still baffled why he chose Chromium to base Brave on instead of forking Gecko or making an engine from scratch, besides the absurd and socially costly cost-cutting. -

?uper?nekFriend ? (supersnekfriend@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 20-Mar-2024 03:09:56 JST ?uper?nekFriend ? @idea_enjoyer The core browser engine for Brave is still Chromium, even if the build is specifically for the Android OS. That is what I meant. Gecko-based browsers can also be compiled for Android:
