@DebErupts @chu Not nearly early enough. What is happening now should have happened in the 1980s. With all the accumulated damage in all kinds of planetary systems, not only the climate, of the four decades since then, it seems very unlikely now that we can avoid a complete collapse of our industrial high-tech civilisation. It could still be slowed down to a gradual decline over a century or two, but the way things are moving, a sudden collapse within decades is far more likely.
