   @hypha It is a way how it can be done.
   But within the context that Quote-Posts get demonized and people dont make the connection in their brain that things they wrote can be discussed outside their field of control, i think it would lead to false assumptions which then will heat up even more and therefore more harrassment.

     @hypha Even if that would be called "Block replies" it would get interpreted wrong... Certain people think of a block way more than just " a blocked User wont get my posts within the intended way of delivering and querying posts".
     I saw people claiming that looking at public posts with a webbrowser on other instances is block evasion :blobcatgooglynotlikethis:

     @divVerent @hypha if a block doesnt block all ways an information could be accessed then the word block is missleading...
     Another example, i rather like *oma's terminology on instance blocks: reject. Which is by far the more accurate term and i would even go that far to say that blocks in fediverse should better be renamed to rejects tho.

     @Jain @hypha Well in a way that _is_ block evasion but we gotta expect it happening, as public is public.
     
     Just like it is block evasion if a politician blocks me on Twitter and I then see some of their tweets on TV or in the news. But gotta live with that, as public means public.
