@ezio System76 laptops are pretty much unsupported for anything other than poop os, and even then, their firmware is bad.
They present themselves as being a more high end professional products, but in reality, their products have many issues that are complete game breakers. The average laptop has better Linux support, and will have better driver support.
For example: When I first bought my Gazelle, it had an issue where if it went to sleep, you could not turn it back on unless the bios battery was completely drained. It took around 4 months for them to fix it, and of course, their firmware tool is only supported in poop os.
I have also had a lot of trouble getting graphics drivers to work outside of poop os, because it has the Nvidia prime drivers (hybrid Nvidia and Intel), and almost never works out of the box for most distros, spending a few hours tweaking it to use the correct drivers. I currently use nix os, and I have to compile them for every driver/kernel update.
