   @w I just use IRC because in most cases E2EE isn't necessary. use Signal or Briar or Cwtch imo for when you absolutely need to securely communicate some piece of information. if you're hosting shit yourself you really only need to be worried about if feds seized your hardware lol

     @nyx @w its great bc modern irc even has history management so you dont even need to GAF about bouncers or anything like that
