   @tokyo_0 if I understood you correctly, my understanding is that followers will continue to follow you on a new instance but your old posts will be gone. I've never migrated so this isn't first hand experience.

     @tokyo_0 Own experience is that, this way, it *should* mostly work. But of course, with an ever-growing amount of ActivityPub implementations, chances are increasing that some contacts live on platforms that don't support this (yet/well). Seems to work reasonably good for Mastodon, Friendica, Hubzilla, pleroma (and its forks) and the whole heap of *key platforms (Miss-, Shar-, Cal- ... and some of their forks).
