I like testing my memory sometimes. It is surprising what gets recalled. Would be good to learn how to improve this.

@sim mneumonic devices mostly. i have a book called "how to remember anyhing" by dean vaugn.
anki and some other software is good for reviews but eh. learning by repetition involves forgetting when you stop repeating it. mneumonics wear out too but they seem to last a bit better.

@sim the schedulers have gotten a bit better with anki. if you enable the new FSRS mode the repeats get spread out a bit.
someone did a bunch of machine learning crunching on records people donated and made a more accurate thing that predicts when it thinks you will forget.
nowadays i think the way to go is to use mneumonics to learn anything that doesn't really stick in naturally. and then just rely on anki as a quiz tool to prompt you to remember it.

@icedquinn Perhaps I should read that book and look into mneumonics. I did wonder about anki... but yeah, I'm not great at repeating things. So that would likely wear out fast. I'm surprised I remember anything that I did in that regard.
