@hakan_geijer I'm still gathering out courage to flash a custom ROM on my older devices out of my use. Sooo wanna liberate them the same way I do with older laptops!

@kzimmermann Lineage is probably the easiest. Graphene is probably the most secure if you have the right device. I haven't played with others, but you can get a sense by reading install docs. More detail and pedantry is generally a good sign

@kzimmermann I guess browse the other OSes and see if any of them support it. Try to target bigger OSes as they have better support and likely better security

@hakan_geijer I see, thanks for the suggestions! Sadly, I don't see my device in there to try 😓 dunno if it was too cheap or unusual to raise enough interest for someone to port (Galaxy A9)
Guess I'll have see in the dusted bin of really old ones if any of them are supported.
