@Stagg_3751@Gab_Refugee@PraxisOfEvil ministry released houses of the mole in 2004, the day it was released i got a significant portion of my body tattooed while that album played on repeat so i have fond memories of it
@Gab_Refugee@PraxisOfEvil dead kennedys was my first concert ever. i have very fond memories of it because somebody no longer with us took me to it
i just stopped during the bush era listening to any of these bands. george w bush mindbroke these guys. fame broke the rest of them (pedophilia, gay etc)
@Gab_Refugee@PraxisOfEvil i had seen nofx live 10 times before i could even buy alcohol legally in canada. just sucks. i recall something happening with jello biafra of the dead kennedys too but i dont remember what it was
@graf@PraxisOfEvil I never got into them but I do know they had a hardcore fan base and people loved them. The next step is looking into the ethnicities of the band members. Brand New has one European, and three fellow white people. many such cases I’m sure.
@graf@PraxisOfEvil Still love the music though and it’s like losing a best friend in a way, especially if the band helped you through some difficult times.
@graf@PraxisOfEvil Yea man. I still listen to them, but separating the people from the art is something that takes some time.
it all came out in 2017 I think. he was cheating on his wife with a 16 year old girl, and apparently with boys too.
Then in their newest album “Science Fiction“ they go off on a tangent in the song “Desert,” mocking right leaning people for a variety of issues, and simping for illegals. Not as liberal as NOFX but of the same vein.
The band split up and I guess that’s that. Grateful I got to see them in concert before it all got weird.
