   Unlmlited PTO is a scam.

   Management makes you afraid to use it.

   And you have to ask for permission to take time off.

   So it's not really unlimited when you get told "No".

   Then your boss makes you feel guilty when you actually use it.

   Also, unlimited PTO does not accrue on the books. Which means no payout for days you don’t use.

   If you have unlimited vacation days you have no vacation days.

     @FluentInFinance This became such a scam startup founders instituted so they could entice tech talent to take their dev jobs. “Sure, you can go to Spain for 2 weeks, but you’re bringing your laptop, right? Because we’ve got updates and new product to roll out in 6 weeks.” Employee pays for an expensive working vacation during which time they rarely log off their laptop. I think more people are onto the scam now.
