I found today a new (for me) free & secure #crossplatform messaging app called #TeleGuard by #Swisscows (based on #Switzerland).
My initial reaction: it is #Signal + #Telegram combined.
What do you think?

This was a new one for me.
My observations as a regular nerd normie user after glancing over their site:
Only mention of encryption/security is that they use Salsa20, HTTPS and end-to-end encryption.
So a bit too vague. Also the marketing on their homepage is very SEO friendly and broad in the statements. "Swiss servers", "Secure, encrypted, amazing", "Highly encrypted", "Swiss made" and "Complex encryption system for all transmitted data" so all the "right" words and no mention of how other technical parts are implemented or if they use perfect forward secrecy, which seems to be one feature that many experts/guides highlight as almost a requirement for secure messaging.
Nothing obvious sticking out at me when reading their privacy policy.
Oh, and looking at how good their client support is combined with the name i'm wondering if this project started out as a business solution from their sister company Hulbee Enterprise AG.
Interesting to see how TelegGuard develops.
