The year is 2024 and the humanity still can't invent a computer mouse the wheel of which doesn't scroll into opposite direction for a fraction of the second after a few years of usage.

Even after cleaning it?
My G401 and G402 only do it when the wheel gets dirty internally.

@lauralt Mine's G403, but before that I had some A4Tech mouse which did the same and cleaning did nothing to it. Anyway, the G403 is in prtty rough shape as well (the rubberized grips started melting so I had to tear them off), so I just bit the bullet and bought some new chink mouse (lsusb detects it as "SINOWEALTH Wired Gaming Mouse" :xi2:).

@mint Works on my mouses.
It's probably because your mouses are running too much proprietary software (logitech "gaming" mouses run proprietary software on an ARM SoC - check the packaging if you doubt me).

Some of these ubranded chink peripherals can be extremely durable.
None of my chink unbranded mech keyboards ever malfunctioned while all the brand named ones I bought before (costing 2x-4x as much) always broke down after a couple of years, pokers especially.
