     It's not about tax base, etc. They got rid of the philosophical / religious objection to childhood vaccination re public education. In the course of that, they believed that they had to end run brown v board (my analysis, not there's), and not create two classes of people who were unequal — religious objectors, etc., and public schooler. Thus, they declared that homeschooling was an option and was superior.

     Their tax base is gone or leaving. The cost of living is so high that to get someone to clean up puke at a school puts them in the 5% of earners in the world while still being at a poverty level. They encourage and accept any and all parasites on the system into their tax base who will never contribute to the society they exploit. Among a infinite list of other bad choices that where made by LA and SF.
     
     The money printer is about to stop after the election and governments and businesses are starting to prepare. You think it's been a bad 2 years it's about to get greatly more depressing.
