Lgmrszd (lgmrszd@md.ilyamikcoder.com)'s status on Monday, 04-Mar-2024 17:59:29 JST Lgmrszd @Houl if I recall correctly, it's because of the license (because it's not libre). But it only limits use for commercial purposes and requires to use same license for derivative works, so, whatever?
Like if someone ever decides to make a game with neocats and neofoxes as sprites, that should be okay as long as the game itself is non-commercial.
But if it's commercial and on steam or other platform, for example, I guess you'd have to ship "neocharacter expansion pack" as a free addon?
@volpeon do I understand that correctly? :neocat_think_woozy: -

The definition of commercial usage is quite tricky :drgn_think:

Lgmrszd (lgmrszd@md.ilyamikcoder.com)'s status on Monday, 04-Mar-2024 19:21:43 JST Lgmrszd @volpeon @Houl can't you just give explicit permission on a per-project basis if both sides agree that neocats aren't used for commercial gain? :neocat_thinking:

So when I make a game and sell it on steam and decide to add neocats I should ask someone else to do it, got it :neocat_cool_fingerguns: -
