     @BethanyBlack I worked at the LEGO Group while that set was under development (in a different department).

     Apparently there was *much* handwringing and concern about including this feature. You will notice that it does not show anywhere on the box, and is left for a surprise for the builder 🙂

     If it offends your eye you can leave it off ...
