     If there is one thing I really hope some software developer does with #ActivityPub #Fediverse is develop a great way to integrate music purchasing, direct from the artist. No middle men. All the money going direct to the artist.
     Spotify really should not exist. Ripping off artists and then giving their money to @$$*!××%# like Joe Rogan.

     @MrLee @verge Payments are going to be a problem unless you're doing something that is supposed to work in only one country. Even then, it'll almost certainly take a _bunch_ of work.

     @MrLee @verge It would be a lot easier if there was something like GNU Taler in place so you could just do the endpoint tax stuff and sell only to consumers, but even then you are going to run into various problems if you try to follow regulations (or try to help the musicians follow regulations).
