   Yes I use my real name online. Originally I made that decision for 2 reasons that are, I fear, no longer valid at all: A) I wanted a website name I didn't have to copywrite and I was *very* concerned with promoting "my brand." So using my actual name in all places out here was the easiest way to do that. B) I thought I could act as a canary in the coal mine; when they came for me, you'd know it was on. Which is hilariously arrogant in retrospect; they're coming for everyone & nobody cares

     @AnarchoNinaWrites Yeah, I didn't always use my real name online, but at some point it was out there anyway. Also doing leftist organizing in a small Southern town where I am a lawyer and at the time had my face plastered on billboards, it didn't really seem to make sense to hide my Identity.

     I haven't had many problems with it, other than the Project Veritas thing, but then again I'm a white male and tend not to suffer the consequences that more marginalized folks do when exposed.

     Given the current political climate, I would EXPLICITY recommend you NOT do what I did, if you asked me about it. I've absolutely run into all sorts of problems doing so, and just because the fash and the police states they control or are seizing control of aren't after you now, doesn't mean they won't be later - they do in fact mean to come for everyone who cares about other people, believes in sharing, and doesn't conform to their hateful worldview.

     Get low, stay low. This is not a joke.
