The linking of buses to poor people is one of the more corrosive propaganda successes of the car industry.

Being alone isn't strength.

In the neighbourhood association business; people who walk and bus are involved in their communities more, even if they also drive. It's car *dependence*, not car ownership that breaks community bonds and feeds a lonely and unsustainable lifestyle.
