   @Arcana @til @mischievoustomato Everything I've seen about the Scottish one from, uh, personal experience relating to eccentric internet people I have known has given me a very disillusioned view of it.

     @allison @Arcana @mischievoustomato it's complicated.
     I have a lot to love and a lot to hate about it as compared with NL (neoliberal-style insurance *ish* but with like, universal obamacare and far less price scalping and more subsidization than the US. Also quality of care is *excellent* I suspect due to investment in the medical-tech sector) .
     The biggest problems are access, the lottery for getting a GP who treats you like a human being, and LONG waiting lists for specialist care.

     @til @Arcana @mischievoustomato Yeah that was basically my impression of it too, if you can actually get it it's fine, but you're just one bad diceroll away from ending up with a Dr. Hazelgrove or worse.
