Dear developers: Please stop using random valid domains in your examples or documentation, there are dedicated domain names and IP ranges for that.
For domain names for example use: example.com

  To reduce the likelihood of conflict and confusion when relating documented examples to deployed systems, an IPv6 unicast address prefix is reserved for use in examples in RFCs, books, documentation, and the like. Since site-local and link-local unicast addresses have special meaning in IPv6, these addresses cannot be used in many example situations. The document describes the use of the IPv6 address prefix 2001:DB8::/32 as a reserved prefix for use in documentation. This memo provides information for the Internet community.

  @leah I usually use a random word relevant to the project but then use .invalid as the TLD. Is that acceptable?

  [I will not tell in which Smartphone APP i registered successfully using an "example.com" mail address. I had to try twice, an account with the first example.com-address i tried already existed.]

  @leah my favourite example is Jon Davis, the creator of Garfield, using a fictitious domain for a dog toy shop in one of the strips, and that now being blocked by uBlock because it's known for spreading viruses.
