   First test of a black powder based tree bag launcher, hopefully to replace an annoying slingshot. Might never work but I'm having fun. This thing launched about 25-30 feet on the first test. If I make it to 120 feet then it should be good enough to get 60 feet up into a tree.

     How heavy are those tree bags? Would tying a small pebble to it help give it more range?

     Nice, have you thought about using an electronic ignition, like the ones on some grills? Would allow you to safely test it with more powder. :bocchi_excite:

     This one I'm trying to launch is 12oz because it fits nicely in 1.5" ABS pipe.
     
     If doing it with power doesn't work or has too many drawbacks, I'll just do compressed air, I'm just having fun, you see.
     
     Plus, it's something to talk about "I hired these guys to come take down a tree and they pulled out a FUCKING CANNON and shot a bag into my tree while screaming AHOY AND AVAST YE NIGGARS!!!!"

     @tyler @synapsid lots of people make spud launchers / potato cannons with 1.5" pipe. I bet you could use a potato with a rope on the other end haha
