     it really feels like even if I sweet talk my way into it i'll be in way, way, way over my head. but then i think back to my current gig, within weeks the then IT Director threw me in the absolute fucking deep end, and yeah, the point of absolute fear is where I do my best work

     though i kinda wonder whether i will be in over my head, knowing how many people struggle to wrap their heads around $carrier's ip wireless product, radius auth, mpls networks, bgp route redis, etc. maybe i'll be fine? 🤔
     
     last i heard i was one of three candidates, one thing i'm worried about though for a principal network designer job is that I've not got a uni degree, but then, I have like fifteen years of direct domain experience doing literally the thing they're looking for?
