   @mattly my team makes the on-prem packaging for our otherwise SaaS product. Sales and customers keep asking for helm charts, and I don't know how much longer we can hold them off.

   I can't tell you how much I want not to be a helm engineer.

     @mattly helm is bad but I feel like attempts to improve it (ex. Googles kpt) also haven't really worked well. I feel like the languages infrastructure platform engineers are familiar with and the ones that are appropriate for a tool like this just don't match or really overlap much.

     @mattly @jenniferplusplus what comes to mind is my use of ‘left pad’ indenting yaml so it’s properly scoped.
