@tokyo_0 I've read that it's important to complete each sleep cycle, about 90 minutes to 2 hours for most of us. If you wake up before you complete the REM stage, you tend to feel groggier. I find this to be generally true.

@tokyo_0 When I nap, I find that if I nap for 90 minutes I feel more alert when I wake up than if I nap for 2 hours. I think this is because I'm moving into a new sleep cycle. I discovered this through trial and error. But some people find going to a sleep clinic to be worthwhile. If you have that resource available to you, you might consider it.
