     Too bad even if the encryption is good, apple used as still gone, as apple has a universal backdoor in all of their proprietary OS's, meaning that if they want to see an imessage, they just need to send a command to the OS to send such, or if that somehow isn't already implemented, push an update with that functionality.

     Alternatively you could make this entire thread a single post on the fediverse. It's not hard.

     So Apple has gone and updated the iMessage protocol to incorporate both forward security (very good!) and post-quantum cryptography. https://security.apple.com/blog/imessage-pq3/
