@feld No I’m doing it by hand. And aesthetically I dislike long posts so I just do it this way.

翠星石 (suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com)'s status on Thursday, 22-Feb-2024 17:13:38 JST 翠星石 @matthew_d_green It took them that long to implement forward security?
Too bad even if the encryption is good, apple used as still gone, as apple has a universal backdoor in all of their proprietary OS's, meaning that if they want to see an imessage, they just need to send a command to the OS to send such, or if that somehow isn't already implemented, push an update with that functionality. -

feld (feld@bikeshed.party)'s status on Thursday, 22-Feb-2024 17:13:39 JST feld @matthew_d_green if you're using some cross-posting tool to put this thread on Twitter/Mastodon/Bluesky there's something broken about it as you have duplicate posts in this thread which reply to different previous posts in the thread
Alternatively you could make this entire thread a single post on the fediverse. It's not hard. -

Matthew Green (matthew_d_green@ioc.exchange)'s status on Thursday, 22-Feb-2024 17:13:40 JST Matthew Green So Apple has gone and updated the iMessage protocol to incorporate both forward security (very good!) and post-quantum cryptography. https://security.apple.com/blog/imessage-pq3/
