Pls wishlist this, otherwise Steam will be retarded and ignore me in favor of AAA stuff. I love you. Many sleepless nights being spent on this. I have a guy completely remodeling and retexturing the killdozer now. Things are really moving along now.

翠星石 (suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com)'s status on Thursday, 22-Feb-2024 19:28:05 JST 翠星石 @honkwerx It's a real shame you developed it on Unity, as a result it's proprietary even if you intended to respect the users freedom and release it as free software (for a price or gratis).
With unity, you just press the "Linux" compile button and GNU/Linux versions are produced, tbh that's yet another binary that soils the freedom of GNU/Linux.In conversation permalink -

I promise I won't ignore Linux! It's just a knowledge gap right now. In conversation permalink -

charliebrownau (charliebrownau@poa.st)'s status on Thursday, 22-Feb-2024 19:28:07 JST charliebrownau @honkwerx Missing the point
If you support
OpenAL
SDL2
Vulkan
OpenGL
on Windows
Instead ofDX9/DX11
its going to be easier to support Linux
Both UNITY and UE4 supports Linux
You should be using GODOT insteadIn conversation permalink -

I need to watch some tutorials on Unity and Linux. Unfortunately, all my Linux machines are crappy chromebooks or virtual machines so I'm not sure if I'd be able to effectively test.
