I had a little chat with @siracusa about 3-D stereo movies and how they are made, and he did a pretty good job summarizing our discussion on ATP574 (starting at 38:44).
(I’m basically dispelling the myth that films shot in stereo natively are guaranteed to have better success than films with converted stereo.)

@tvaziri @joesteel Do you have any thoughts on how this might extend to educational or information-transmission contexts?
I ask because I work with a group that does scientific visualization, often in stereo, but the connections and reward structures aren't necessarily the same as for cinematic presentations.
