If/when the United States of America becomes a Christofascist totalitarian state, certain people will look back on moments like Unite The Right and the neo-Nazis marching in downtown Nashville and rue the day they ever told people to defeat them in “the marketplace of ideas.”
@abreaction You misunderstand: I never said or implied there was or is a worldwide system. I said that fascism rose to power in multiple regions and nations worldwide more than twice historically.
That implies it has happened independently of each instance, which it did (ex. Mussolini’s creation of fascism (or fascismo), and the rise of Nazi Germany) Churchill’s deep admiration for fascism and fascist leaders even though Britain never truly embraced that system of government at the time. See how influence doesn’t always translate to implementation?
So my point still stands. I’d invite you to address it as it was actually stated. 😘
