@StillIRise1963 In the UK, like most of Europe, we used to have cafes, usually independents. Some were good and not too expensive, some were poor, but very cheap. And then 'The Market' decided what we needed was an American version of an Italian cafe on every street serving terrible coffee in cardboard buckets. And we had to learn to call them coffee shops. Because cafe is too European for isolationist Americans?
