   @cassidy @flyingpimonster I don't develop apps, or have any reason to take a shot of the same area again and again, so for me this new behavior is quite annoying. And I can't imagine the majority of people needing this behavior either? Although I understand it's useful for those who do. It was even more annoying before I figured I could use right click to drag a new selection and thought that I had to make a temporary selection first if I wanted to select an area within the previous selection.

     @flyingpimonster it truly makes putting screenshots on websites that support light and dark style so nice!

     I love how #GNOME's screenshot tool saves the selection area, so I can take the exact same screenshot in dark and light mode.
