     @mitu :blobcatlaugh: now im curious in how mastodon actually saves attachments... i configured my instance in a way so that it produces the same key for same files... is that something masto cant?

     @Jain I don't know… but it downloads attachments if needed. This created like 20 Gigs in one hour during the spam attack. This stopped me from upgrading mastodon, since the backup was just too big…

     After cleaning the cache, it went down to 3GB total.
