     Sorry for butting in here, I just wanted to make a point to say please, you have got the wrong impression and that fault may lie with us jokers, and for that I am sorry

     I make no music, but have been joking about bonkwave since the beginning

     The spirit of bonkwave is inclusion and acceptance. At first for music especially weird music that is hard to classify and then for art and always for people!

     You don't need to understand or enjoy everything, but you will always be welcome

     @axwax It doesn't exactly upset me, it's just that feeling of "okay, this is an established club of people who enjoy their inside joke genre". And that's totally fine!

     I just wanted to let you, as someone who's obviously "in", know that not everyone is getting the impression that it's a particularly welcoming group.

     Like, assume you know nothing about it. If you go to bonkwave.org, not only does it not really tell you anything, I even felt somewhat ridiculed for even wanting to know.

     After that several people made music and used the genre #BonkWave, or #NotBonkWave.

     So much so that eventually they made a compilation, and then another, because other people made more.

     That's all there is to it. Not quite sure what makes it unwelcoming, as absolutely anything can be called BonkWave (or not).

     If it really does upset you I would genuinely love to find out why...

     @axwax A few weeks ago, I spend like, I think, an hour trying to find out what Bonkwave is all about. I understand that there being no definition is kind of the meme, but from an outside perspective I got the impression that it's a bunch of people who enjoy being obscure and confusing, and I didn't find that welcoming at all, so I'm staying away from everything related to it.

     Just some feedback because of "friendly space with friendly musicians", nothing that you need to do anything about.
