   @GossiTheDog I tried it , it doesn't work. Even putting the key in the .env.production doesn't activate it.

   The doc mention it at the bottom of the configure your environment page and fuck it

     I have the captcha enabled, but still woke up to 628 new spam accounts, thankfully, not yet confirmed.

     @GossiTheDog I had to figure this out by looking through diffs/changelogs... Sign up for hcaptcha, you get a site key and a secret key. Set those to HCAPTCHA_SITE_KEY and HCAPTCHA_SECRET_KEY respectively in your mastodon environment. Restart the web service and you'll have a new check-box to enable hCaptcha on the signup settings page in the admin panel.
