This presidential election is going to be like watching a cage match at a nursing home... I swear we picked the two people in the USA least mentally capable to compete in running the place....

@freemo Why is neither side able to get a younger and less compromised person to step up?

The MAGA side in particular is just ripe for someone who can duplicate Trump's jousting with the media, while avoiding Trump's stupid statements that get him in trouble.

@freemo what's funny is that you think we picked either of them or that we have a choice in who they are. We only get to choose from a select few in politics, and its not based on best and brightest.

@obi Oh no we definately get to pick them. Every stage is elections. We have primaries where we vote for the presidents and we have lower level elections where we vote for the people who make it to the higher levels.

Yes we absolutely get to pick them.

@freemo we get to pick them at lower levels of government, and some are allowed to progress to higher levels of government and be in a position to give us a choice. Andy candidate that doesn't fit into the established system is tarnished by the media, and political parties to stop any real change from occurring. Just my 2 cents. Obvious to me simply by who we get to vote for out of a pool of 330 million. I can honestly say 90% of the people who vote would say those available candidates are not the best candidates, nor even remotely near the best, but it is all they are presented with.

My opinion means nothing, I know. Just how I see it.

@obi if they dont fit into the standard mold, or are tarnished by the media, if those things stop them from advancing thats still on us as voters to blame. We are the ones who chose not to vote for them for those bad reasons. So we are still the ones i making the choice.

I will never understand peoplea obsession with blaming everyone but the people for all wrong. This lack of personal accountability for our own choices is the problem. No matter who you ask it is always some other group to blame.
