   @dilmandila I used to go with "hello" or "hi" (and still do for things like UK tech industry PR agencies), but after some discussion with people from various parts of the work, I know go with "Good morning/afternoon/evening" (based on my own time zone) for business correspondence, as it's a little more formal.

     What's the alternative to 'Dear sir or madam' when writing an email to a generic account, like info@thisorthat.com, and you can't know who will read it?
