@charliebrownau Yes, and Ausjailia... CHAINA!! has been doing that since 1950, so does/did every single commie country. I wouldn't be surprised if this would happen to all countries sooner or later, but doesn't matter, let them do that. Nobody cares about official propaganda anyway (except for the bootlickers, but they're all lethally injected, so they'll not be around for long anyway).
@ryo Reclaim The Net is a CF-using websoyte. Too bad, because it was one of the best sources for news before it installed CF. Now I can't view it without archives.
@digdeeper I'm sure I've put it in an archive actually, seems like I accidentally pasted the original URL here instead, my bad. Keep in mind that Hozon Site isn't entirely perfect yet, as it still fetches doesn't replace full URL CSS and images (which stupid soydevs always do instead of using relative URLs anyway), but at least it's readable even while using Tor.
@ryo Yeah, thanks. Reclaim The Net RSS still doesn't work, though. I had to delete half of my RSS feeds when I went Tor-only, because CF blocked the downloads. It's kind of sad.
@digdeeper The state of the clearnet is just sad. Ever tried to search for whatever in a search engine, and get greeted by a "we're checking your browser" page? How many times? Far too often IMO.
@digdeeper I really wish I could go Tor-only. I remember when I went to Europe or even northern Africa or western Asia last time, using Tor was just a tiny bit slower from using regular internet, because almost all the exit nodes happen to be located throughout Europe.
But here in east Asia, comparing Tor to regular internet is basically like having a running competition with a snail and a fox. Hell, sometimes Tor is so slow, I have to "sudo sv restart tor" (yes, I'm using runit as the init system) a couple of times because pages wouldn't load up at all.
@ryo There are other problems besides the speed. A lot of places will block you outright, UDP is impossible (no torrenting), and you need to set up a firewall that will block anything but TOR. I'm still using it though but convenience-wise, a VPN is a lot better.
@digdeeper Blocking outright is a massive problem yes. The other one I've noticed is that some sites just give you a default browser error on certain pages or entire websoytes.
