Attempts to limit non-legal-adults' access to social media should be reflexively rejected like book banning is, and like Frederic Wertham's comic book panic was before. It's all about restricting their access to information.

But it's hard to disengage those concerns from information: we wouldn't see as many complaints about "endless scroll" if it were feeding kids book recommendations, bible verses, music adults like, etc.
