>The only people who end up using fedi religiously are banned from Twitter or are too abrasive for it

@augustus I didn't really use Twitter before I came here. I played around with it but never got into it.

@Moon
I never got into twitter. I had a account for entering contests but deleted it later because I just didn’t like the site or the concept

@Moon I never used it much, I lurked on there sometimes. I didn't like the social incentives set up that to build followers you needed to either join a cult and go sadistically hard against your out-group, or else be a professional reply guy latching to big accounts Ian Miles Cheong-style like some disgusting deep sea fish parasite

@ic3l9 I'm on the sliding scale of hating big tech and centralization and wanting to be on the relative fringes, but not so autistic that I care about how free software is because I'm way more normie than most people on here when it comes to that. also the reason I resent that post is because I consider Twitter and its users to be the abrasive ones

@augustus are you even meant by that, you don't seem too religious about free speech or free software

@ic3l9 it was a comment by some guy on the nitter issues github about nitter being killed. I still think there is some truth in his words

@augustus i think "too abrasive for twitter" and "abrasive on the fediverse" are different kinds of abrasive
