The WEF coined the term "Industry 4.0" to serve as a useful collective noun for emerging technology interactions that are driving us to a very different future in which many current habits and policies would be very maladaptive.
Exactly the OPPOSITE of "saving the whale oil industry", and very much about the need to prepare and adapt to rapid change across many industries, and the extinction of many "whale oil" industries and specialties
