I'm listening to *It's Felix's Favorite Mix*, which is a playlist that came out around the time of Stray Kids first main album release.
There's a non-zero possibility that this is mostly a manufactured playlist produced by the company with minimal input from Felix.
But I'm amusing myself anyway by constructing RPF scenarios based on my current obsession with watching all the videos from around that time.

I'm currently making myself sad with RPF ideas about how Felix wants Changbin, Changbin wants Hyunjin, and Hyunjin wants Felix. Tragic triangle of unrequited pining etc.
But then not really, because it's not actually unrequited.
There's a whole tangle of confused ideas about queerness that they have to work through while also presenting big chunks of themselves to the omnipresent cameras.
Felix has been out forever, but he's not a polyamorous boy by inclination.

Meanwhile Hyunjin & Changbin are very used to having to be closeted. They might even still be trying to work out if they're actually queer. They met & became close as trainees before Stray Kids, possibly even before 3racha? Unclear.
(Hyunjin talks about going to stay with Changbin, meeting his family & friends, back in their early trainee days. I think he also said that he hadn't slept over at any other trainees' homes.)

By the time Stray Kids project starts, Hyunjin & Changbin have worked some things out. They're already pretty handsy with each other and it escalates now that they're supposed to perform skinship too.
Hyunjin eats up all the skinship, can never get enough of it, and still wants more.
Changbin has figured out the "more" that Hyunjin wants, but he's waiting for Hyunjin to figure it out for himself.
Because Changbin is scarily mature & self-aware for a teenage boy, what the fuck, he's a freak.

Hyunjin is much more of a giggly gay chicken for a long time.
He knows he's pretty. (He's already been told he doesn't have to work hard as a trainee because he'll debut anyway due to his looks. Which pisses him off & motivates him to work harder.)
He already knows that there are boys crushing on him because of how pretty he is. It's fun & a bit exciting and he maybe sluts it around a bit when he finally gets up the courage (teenage boy, hormones etc).

(this is not actually a thread fic, just me wittering on. I have not written fic in over 20 years, unlikely to start now, it's a struggle to even think of ideas, let alone write them out in a narrative format.)
I don't have any firm ideas about when Changbin & Hyunjin actually start doing more than flirting. But for maximum chaos & angst, it would be good if it happened around the time that Felix arrived in Korea (about 6 months before their reality show).

Changbin & Felix have talked about how Changbin befriended Felix very soon after the latter joined the company, in part because he worried about how hard it would be for Felix in a foreign country where he barely spoke the language, was living away from his family for the first time, in an intense high-pressure situation, etc.
Hyunjin was also very protective of Felix during reality show filming (to be fair, all of them were).

I thought it was a little strange when Felix was eliminated and Hyunjin talked about Felix being like a child who needed all the love & protection. Not really in a patronizing way...? More of a fierce defender who will protect Felix against anything that might hurt Felix's sweetness.
Other members call Felix "innocent" sometimes, but it's not quite the right word. He has an open & sensitive heart, & so much love, & everyone wants to keep that intact.

Felix imprints on Changbin like a day-old-chick (bbokari) except with additional sex feelings cos Changbin is hot (even when he's still a skinny teenager drowning in his hoodies).

Side note: I just realised that my username can apply to Felix now, because he is bbokari chick. (in addition to Lan Wangji presenting Wei Wuxian with engagement chickens)
Therefore I need to find a suitable image of Changbin & Hyunjin looking adoringly at Felix so that I can make it my account header.
