@Vee McMillen I don't know what you mean. Are you in favor of NATO encroaching on the borders of Russia? Would the US be agreeable if things were reciprocated?  Just because we like a man, doesn't mean we must blind ourselves to his faults and pretend that they do not exist. A friend's rebuke is much better than an enemy's kiss.

It is intellectually dishonest for people to pretend that their favorite people are infallible. That is the total moral of the story about,  the emperor's new clothes. People can lie to themselves and each other if they wish, however, some of us prefer not to pretend or play that game.
