   Okay, will say it: The most obvious route forward for WWE on their current story is for The Rock to be made special referee for a WrestleMania main event between challenger Cody Rhodes and champion Roman Reigns...and call it straight down the line, giving the belt to Cody, raising Roman's ire, and leading to a heated match where Roman beats Rock (and it doesn't have to be a clean win). That way, the damage done so far can be limited, and all involved parties can benefit.

     Cody "finishes his story" by holding the title, and Roman recovers from his title loss with a gigantic win over The Rock, who retains babyface status and yet helps the full time talent (and makes a fuckton of money).
