Alex Gleason (alex@gleasonator.com)'s status on Saturday, 10-Feb-2024 08:22:46 JST Alex Gleason This is a challenge to the idea that the best products are created by non-technical visionaries like Steve Jobs. They are actually created by people like Tim Berners-Lee, and it changes the whole reality that product people live within. -

LCCMV (lccmv@noauthority.social)'s status on Monday, 12-Feb-2024 08:34:16 JST LCCMV No. In most cases, the implementation is created so the design that requires it is made possible. The implementation serves the design. The design usually has to come first.
Sometimes, the implementation creates opportunities for other designs, but only after it has been serving its original design for some time.

Alex Gleason (alex@gleasonator.com)'s status on Monday, 12-Feb-2024 08:34:16 JST Alex Gleason @LCCMV Your web browser wouldn't have a URL bar if an engineer didn't create URLs. You could maybe call Tim Berners-Lee a "designer" in some sense, but not really. In conversation permalink -
