   so impressed with my companies vision plan. i need an updated prescription for my computer/reading glasses.
   
   instead of shipping the new lenses to my Dr's office like they always have, they now require me to send my frames to them and i'll be without glasses for "7 to 10 days".

     @pete_wright I hate that they "discontinue" frames to force you to buy new ones and they make such subtle changes that it prevents you from putting in new lenses because they stop making the exact lens size you need or something?
     
     It all seems like a giant scam

     @feld i *love* my frames though. like it took me years to find ones that didn't trigger me while trying to focus.
     
     anyway bitching on the 'net is easier than actually doing something constructive about my situation lol

     totally! they discontinued these frames and now i'm like "should have hoarded them like a troll when i had the chance"
     
     i hadn't thought about them pushing obsolescence via lens sizes...lame
